Meet the Eat Clean Bro Team!

Jamie Giovinazzo (President & Founder)

My name is Jamie Giovinazzo. I am the founder and owner of Eat Clean Bro. I have loved food and the process behind food preparation my whole life. As I grew older, my love for food and fitness converged into one. It was not until I began bodybuilding as a teenager that I discovered the true art behind the generic term “eating clean”. I saw the way proper nutrition and diet could transform the body and I was fascinated by the entire concept that simply prepping meals could completely change the way I looked and felt. But the truth is, at the end of the day, though my abs were beautiful, they weren’t paying my bills!

Ten years ago, I was given a compliment by a stranger in the gym followed by a question of what it was I ate. I replied, “Grilled chicken, sweet potatoes, and broccoli, bro.” And who would have guessed his response would light the fire and spark my destiny... He asked, “Can you cook for me?”, and just like that, at 19 years old, with zero business experience, I began working as the owner of my own food business. Within two weeks, his entire office was ordering clean, prepared meals, and I began to see what a demand there was for clean food. What was even more interesting to me, was that people wanted healthy options, but they simply did not have the time. However, this model plan was short lived when after 2 months my parents kicked me out of the kitchen, and I went out of business. But the wheels had already begun turning, and I threw myself into the pursuit of the dream with all of my heart and soul.

Over the next few years, I went out of business several times. After 7 attempts, I gave up. I went searching for a “real job”. After multiple rejections from entry level positions, I was depressed and discouraged. On January 1st, 2013, I made an absolute resolution to change. Failure was not an option and I was ready to do whatever it took to be successful. The following week, I received a call from an old friend, the same individual who had asked me to make him meals 7 years prior.

Opportunity had presented itself and I ran with it. I took my last $300.00 from bartending and went to Shop-Rite. I sold 82 meals that first week. I scrubbed every pot and pan like it was my last alternative to doing so. I made sure every customer had a positive experience because this went beyond making money. I wanted to alter people's lives, end obesity, and give people an option to better themselves.

I've come a long way from where I started but the fundamental aspect that drives me is love. I am a passionate entrepreneur who loves his friends and customers and loves helping people achieve their goals.

Now, Eat Clean Bro has been in business for 3 years, we do thousands of meals each day, and I could not be more grateful.

Kayla Collins (Chief Operating Officer)

My name is Kayla and I am the Chief Operating Officer of Eat Clean Bro. If you had told me during my four years at Rutgers University that this is where I would ultimately find my calling, purpose, and passion, it is safe to say I would not have believed you. I graduated Rutgers in 2012 with a degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology. While pursuing my degree, I worked as a department manager at Nordstrom. I truly value the time that I spent there as it instilled in me the customer service standards that our business is based upon today. I had been working at Nordstrom for five years, actively pursuing a full-time career in law enforcement, when I met Jamie. His excitement for his work was infectious. Over a pile of disorganized Restaurant Depot receipts (which, might I add, he tricked me into organizing on one of our first dates), we discussed his ultimate goal of changing the way people ate. Making clean, delicious food affordable, convenient, and healthy, was his singular priority, and not long after, I realized it was mine as well. I remain amazed at his dedication and am excited to see it manifested and mirrored in our customers' satisfaction. I look forward to spending the rest of our lives pursuing our dream job, surpassing expectations, and facilitating a healthy, happy lifestyle for everyone!


John O'Connor (Director of Sales & Marketing)

Currently serving as Director of Sales & Marketing, John has always had an immense passion for food. He honed his culinary skills and knowledge of the inner-workings of the food industry at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu. After completing his studies, John spent time utilizing his creativity at Mosaic Sales Solutions executing marketing campaigns for clients such as HP, Microsoft and Samsung. These experiences, combined with John’s extensive technology and process development skills have been a key contributing factor in transforming Eat Clean Bro from a local pick-up operation to one of the largest meal delivery services in the Tri-State area. Along with the rest of the Eat Clean Bro team, John’s mission is to provide a continuously improving customer experience and consistently exceed expectations.

John Panebianco (Culinary Director / Executive Chef)

John Panebianco is the Culinary Director and the master behind all of Eat Clean Bro’s culinary creations. Having studied at the Culinary Institute of America, John worked his way through almost every conceivable job in the restaurant industry, from Private Chef to Executive Chef positions. John has familiarized himself with every aspect of the food industry and has studied under chefs such as Marcel Desaulniers, and Biagio Settepani. As Executive Chef of Brando's Citi Cucina, he was able to establish himself firmly in the local community, and he is well known for his delicious take on Italian cuisine. John’s culinary expertise and his background is an invaluable asset to the Eat Clean Bro experience, and truly what sets it apart from competitors.




Andrew Mazza (Executive Sous Chef)

Andrew is the Sous Chef and co-inventor of Eat Clean Bro's distinctive menu. Having graduated from Johnson and Wales College of Culinary Arts, he has perfected his techniques over fourteen years of cooking in every environment from personal chef, to caterer. Working in the ECB kitchen has allowed him to not only bring his previous knowledge of unique dishes and flavors to the meal prep experience but also to expand on it and diversify the menu with exceptionally tasty dishes. Both Chefs John and Andrew are a huge part of what sets Eat Clean Bro apart and bringing our customers a truly transcendent meal prep experience.

Brooke Gulkis (Account Relations Manager & Customer Service Cherub)

Hey, Bros and Babes, my name is Brooke and I am part of the Customer Service Dept at Eat Clean Bro. When I was younger I wasn’t really too concerned with what I ate. My knowledge of food and nutrition was extremely limited at best. My weight was always an issue but it wasn’t until my freshman year of college that I decided to do something about it. I proceeded to lose 100lbs over the next few years and made nutrition and fitness a huge part of my lifestyle. I graduated from Wagner college with a degree in Marketing and French but knew that nutrition was my passion. Three years ago I decided to enroll in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition to further my understanding and knowledge of nutrition and the body. I graduated as a certified Health and Nutrition Coach. Eat Clean Bro has been a perfect fit for me and I am so glad to work in an environment that I am truly passionate about and to be a part of the BRO team.

Amanda Gyetvay (Director of First Impressions)

My name is Amanda and I am one of Eat Clean Bro’s Customer Service Representatives. Growing up I was always active but did not worry too much about my health and the food I put in my body. It wasn’t up until 4 years ago when I really started to pay attention to what I ate and how important nutrition really is and that was the start of my passion for health and fitness. I met Jamie when I worked at NYSC and found out about his new company, Eat Clean Bro and decided to give it a try (there’s nothing better than having delicious, healthy meals already prepared for you) and I have been ordering ever since! I had two Multiple Sclerosis fundraising events and the Eat Clean Bro team was there to provide food and support for both. I always wanted to be part of the Eat Clean Bro team. I have so much respect for their genuine passion and drive to providing nothing but the best for their customers. I am so grateful to be working for such an amazing company and with a team who not only provides healthy prepared meals but also provides exceptional customer service.

Chloe Collins (Delivery Driver Wrangler)

Chloe Collins - Delivery Driver WranglerAfter my graduation from Temple University Kayla and Jamie pulled me off the streets of Philly with a severe sugar addiction, and a talent for herding cats. Eat Clean Bro has been the perfect fit to get me on the track for being healthy. I am currently the Delivery Driver Wrangler here at Eat Clean Bro, which in reality means that I made sure all of your deliveries happen, and could not be more excited about it. I have never before encountered a more devoted or passionate team of individuals and am lucky to say that I work with them.

 

 

 

Taylor Pastorini (Intern)

My name is Taylor, and I am currently a student at Ramapo college majoring in global communications and minoring in food studies. I am currently serving as Eat Clean Bro’s intern, and I could not be more excited to have been given this amazing opportunity. Fitness and nutrition have always been two aspects that I have been extremely passionate about. Being able to combine my love for both in my work and give back is something I always dreamed of but never thought possible until I started interning for this astonishing company.
