Healthy Realistic New Year's Resolutions!
One of the most popular questions that people ask themselves every year is, "What should I do this New Year's?" It seems like it is a tricky question, but you will make your resolution and stick to it with these simple healthy resolutions. And the great thing about these New Years' resolutions is that they are not too difficult or too time-consuming.

1) Drink more water!
Water is essential for the human body, and it is one of the best things that you can drink to improve your health. It helps to detoxify your body, boosts your metabolism, and keeps you hydrated. Make sure to drink at least eight glasses of water per day to stay healthy.
If you are not a big fan of water, you can add fruits to your drink to make it tastier. Great choices are oranges, lemons, cucumbers, strawberries, and limes.

2) Exercise for at least 20 minutes per day!
This is another excellent way to improve your health, and almost anybody can do it. Make sure you exercise at least three times a week, but if you want to see the best results possible, make sure to do it every day of the week. You can go on a walk or run around your neighborhood, go to the gym, take a fitness class or do some at-home workouts.
No matter what you choose to do, make sure that you move your body for at least 20 minutes per day. And if possible, try to increase this number as you progress throughout the year.

3) Start tracking the food you intake!
Tracking your macronutrients or counting your calories even, could be a great way to stay in your body's ideal range for what your goals are! Also, if possible avoid eating out as often as possible or try to cut down on it. You never truly know what you're getting when you eat out! 
If you are not a fan of cooking yourself or if this seems like too much work to take up - try out pre-cooked healthy frozen meals. There are many great options out there that are both affordable and convenient. Eat Clean Bro is a great example ;)

4) Make time for yourself!
This resolution is all about taking a step back and giving yourself some much-needed "me time." This could be anything from reading a book, taking a relaxing bath, going for walks outdoors, meditating, or just spending time with your loved ones. The key is to find something that relaxes you and stick to it.
This is a significant resolution because if you don't take care of yourself and give yourself some time for rest, it will be tough to be healthy in the long term. It might seem not easy at first, but you won't want to stop once you start doing it. If this seems like too much work or if you have a hectic schedule - try out some yoga or meditation classes to help you relax.

5) Slowly incorporate more fruits and vegetables into your diet!
This resolution can be pretty difficult because of how busy people are nowadays, but eating healthy in the New Year is extremely important. Vegetables help you lose weight; they boost your immune system, provide clean energy for your body and keep you full longer than processed foods do - not to mention, they are affordable.
Start by slowly incorporating one or two vegetables into your daily meals and see how that goes. If you find it hard to make time for them, try prepping them ahead of time so you can grab and go when you're in a hurry. 6) Limit your alcohol intake!
If you want to be healthy in the New Year, it is vital that you limit your alcoholic beverages as much as possible - if not completely cut them out of your diet. Alcohol contains many empty calories, which are terrible for weight loss and can lead to diabetes, high blood pressure, triglyceride levels, heart disease, and liver cirrhosis.
If you currently drink alcohol regularly - try to cut down on the number of drinks that you have per week. And if you can't or don't want to stop drinking altogether, make sure that you alternate alcoholic beverages with water or juice. This will help reduce the number of calories that you are consuming and keep your mind sharp and help prevent hangovers.

7) Eat a well-balanced breakfast daily!
This resolution is critical if you have a hectic schedule and often skip meals. And while it might be tempting to eat something small on the go, this will only leave you hungry later, which can lead to bad food choices or overeating at your next meal.
Start by eating a healthy breakfast every day, and you will notice that it helps to keep your energy levels high throughout the whole morning, prevents late afternoon snacking due to low blood sugar, and reduces stress. You can't go wrong with oatmeal or fruit smoothies - they are both quick fixes that won't leave you feeling hungry.

8) Get moving!
This resolution is all about getting your body moving and active. And the great thing about it is that there are so many different ways to do this - you can find something that fits your personality and lifestyle.
If you don't like going to the gym, try out a dance class or join a sports team. If you enjoy being outdoors, go for walks or runs in the park or sign up for a hiking club. And if you're the type of person who loves to relax with a good book, try out some yoga or Pilates classes.
